Friends of Oakland Communication Commission A New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation is a charitable organization exempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, with the following purposes:
a. Support and enhance the operations of the Borough of Oakland, NJ communications to its residents, business owners, and people who work in the community through Oakland TV Station, newsletters, bulletin board, podcasts, social media platforms and other
forms of communications to improve communication and connectivity.
b. Assist in educating and informing the residents, business owners, and individuals who work in the Borough of Oakland, NJ about
the various means, methods, and platforms by which residents can learn about the Borough as a whole, including but not limited
to, current events and news, history, governmental and political affairs, and public events.
c. Provide education on communications to residents, business owners, and individuals who work in the Borough of Oakland, New
Jersey.
d. Support special projects and initiatives of the Communication Commission (and its subcommittees) of the Borough of Oakland,
New Jersey and any other governmental or non-profit organizations that aim to advance the objectives of this non-profit.
